Our Story
How Green Gate started
Green Gate 4 MENA Youth emerged after COP28 in Dubai, when we noticed a clear gap: MENA youth are talented and ambitious, yet their access to international conferences, programs, and climate opportunities remains fragmented and out of reach.
We launched Green Gate to close that gap — a single trusted platform that brings together opportunities, networks, and resources, opening the door for a new generation of climate leaders across the region.

Islem Zrelli
Founder & CEO
Islem Zrelli founded Green Gate and has driven its mission from day one. With a background in climate policy and a deep commitment to youth leadership, she built the platform to be a bridge, connecting young people across MENA to the opportunities that can shape their futures. For Islem, lasting change happens when we equip young talent with the networks, resources, and trust to lead the green transition themselves.
